    TOUR ITINERARY

A Serious Climb for Seasoned Explorers

    Day 1: Manali – Solang – Bakarthach

Arrive in Manali and drive to Solang Nallah. Start the trek from Solang, gradually ascending through pine forests and glacial streams to Bakarthach, a scenic alpine meadow surrounded by snow-clad peaks. Set up camp here and relax while soaking in views of the surrounding ranges.

Trek from Bakarthach to Beas Kund, a revered glacial lake and the origin of the Beas River. The trail passes through vast meadows and rocky stretches with panoramic views of Hanuman Tibba and Shitidhar. Return to Bakarthach for overnight stay.

Continue the ascent to Lady Leg campsite, gaining altitude while trekking over snow bridges and moraines. The trail offers breathtaking views of Hanuman Tibba’s north face. Set up camp at Lady Leg, perched strategically below the summit route, and rest for the night.

Acclimatization and ice craft training day at Lady Leg. Learn essential techniques like rope fixing, crevasse rescue, and ice axe use. Short hikes on nearby snow slopes allow trekkers to test their stamina and adjust to the higher elevation before the summit days.

Ascend from Lady Leg to Camp 1, crossing steep icy slopes and negotiating crevasse-prone areas. This technical section requires ropework and crampons. Camp at a snowfield near Camp 1 with clear views of the final summit ridge, preparing mentally for the next day.

Summit day starts before dawn. Climb steep snow walls and ridges to reach the summit of Hanuman Tibba (5,982 m). The route demands stamina and technical skill but rewards climbers with unrivalled views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges. Return to Lady Leg.

Descend from Lady Leg to Bakarthach via moraines and alpine meadows. The trail is easier but offers ample time to appreciate the scenery. Set up camp at Bakarthach, marking the last night in the wilderness with stories and stargazing.

Trek from Bakarthach to Solang Nallah. Drive back to Manali, concluding your epic expedition to Hanuman Tibba. Spend your afternoon relaxing in Manali’s vibrant cafés or shop for local woollens and handicrafts before heading home.
