TOUR ITINERARY
A Himalayan Journey Worth A Memory
Day 1: Manali – Solang Valley – Bakarthach
Arrive in Manali and drive to Solang Valley, the trek’s starting point. From Solang, begin a steady ascent through forests and lush meadows towards Bakarthach. The trek offers stunning views of Deo Tibba and Hanuman Tibba. Set up camp at Bakarthach for the night amidst alpine scenery.
Day 2: Bakarthach – Lady Leg
Trek from Bakarthach to Lady Leg, a high-altitude campsite named for its distinct slope resembling a lady’s leg. The trail gets steeper, crossing moraines and icy patches. Beautiful panoramas of snow-clad peaks make the tough climb worthwhile. Rest and acclimatize at Lady Leg under starlit Himalayan skies.
Day 3: Acclimatization & Ice Craft Training
Spend the day acclimatizing at Lady Leg and undergoing ice craft training. Learn essential mountaineering skills like using crampons, ice axes, and rope techniques. Short hikes on nearby snow slopes help improve fitness and adjust to altitude. Evening briefing on the summit push before turning in early.
Day 4: Summit Attempt – Lady Leg
Start the summit attempt before dawn, climbing over steep snowfields and icy ridges. The route to Friendship Peak (17,348 ft) is demanding but rewarding, offering 360° views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. Descend carefully back to Lady Leg after celebrating at the summit.
Day 5: Lady Leg – Bakarthach
Descend from Lady Leg to Bakarthach retracing your steps through moraines and lush meadows. The downhill trek is easier, giving you a chance to soak in the surrounding beauty one last time. Enjoy a hot meal and camp overnight at Bakarthach.
Day 6: Bakarthach – Solang – Manali
Trek down to Solang Valley through thick forests and alpine pastures. Drive back to Manali, marking the end of your Friendship Peak expedition. Spend the rest of the day relaxing in town, sharing stories, or shopping for local souvenirs before departure.
